Your car has a yearly MOT, time to think about a health MOT…

Would you like to loose weight, sleep better, feel less stressed?

Do you have a chronic condition such as diabetes/hypertension/raised cholesterol and would like to find an alternative way to manage your condition?

Would you like to live a longer and healthier life?

Lifestyle Medicine is the use of evidence-based lifestyle therapeutic interventions to prevent, treat and often reverse certain chronic diseases. It includes an overall review of nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress, social habits and connections. The aim is to empower clients to achieve their lifestyle change using coaching and motivational interviewing techniques. The goal is to provide a personalised, realistic and sustainable plan with the aim for the lifestyle change to be lifelong. Sessions held will provide support through the journey and to help overcome obstacles and barriers that one may face.

70% of primary care visits are related to stress and lifestyle. When stressed, people are less likely to engage in healthy habits which in turn can affect the immune system and increases the risk of long-term organ damage. Disturbed and deficient sleep increases the risk of various health conditions such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease. There is strong evidence that a healthy lifestyle can reduce the risk of chronic diseases, optimise your health to promote longevity and quality of life.
