About Jo:

Jo has worked in Complementary Health for over 20years. She trained in Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture following personal experience of its remarkable impact whilst recovering from a serious health situation and extensive surgery. She continues to be uplifted by witnessing its potential to heal and support, including in situations where conventional treatment can do little to help, as well as usefully complementing biomedical treatment.

Jo practices meditation, qigong and Iyengar yoga and gets out into nature as much as possible. All of this informs and inspires her in relation to the Chinese medical approach and healthy living. She is committed to ethical practice and believes in empowering patients to improve and manage their health. Clear treatment plans, lifestyle advice and other resources are given to support this goal.

Raman is a British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) registered acupuncturist, who studied her honours level degree training at The Acupuncture Academy in Leamington Spa.
Her practice is based on 5 element acupuncture which is a gentle and holistic healing tool which takes into account all physical and emotional symptoms a patient is experiencing to provide a unique treatment plan. This is based on knowledge and practice from acupuncturists developed over thousands of years in China. This has been researched, refined and tested in the West over time as a treatment option accessed by a growing number of patients.

Specialist areas include:
Pain management, Mental Health, Life limiting conditions and end of life care, Pregnancy, Teenagers, Auricular acupuncture (helpful for stopping smoking, weight loss and over eating, insomnia, gaming and gambling addiction).
Cupping & Gui Sha (used for pain relief including headaches, migraines, neck, shoulder, back pain etc).

Treatment costs
Initial consultation (usually 1.5 hours) – £75
Follow up appointments (1 hour) – £50
5 treatment discount – £260
Cupping – £30

What can acupuncture do for me?
Patients visit for the same reasons they would go to a GP and common presentations include pain management, headaches, hormonal health imbalances, infertility, menopause, skin conditions, back pain, knee pain, stress, anxiety, depression, hayfever etc.

What happens when I go for treatment?
A range of diagnostic methods are used on the first treatment (including taking a full medical history and reading your pulses) to design an individual treatment plan.

How does it feel? Is it safe?
Acupuncture is safe for all ages. Acupuncture needles are very fine – the width of two human hairs. Acupuncture treatment is very gentle and relaxing!
